In one week, a country regarded by most Muslims as a symbol of freedom and respect of the right to be different has become the very symbol of hatred, discrimination and bigotry. The Danish paper that published cartoons of Propher Mohammed (peace be upon him) offended, not a few, but all Muslims, moderates and hardliners alike. This crime could have been forgotten by now had the Danish government taken the only acceptable and logical action of stating the obvious: that freedom of expression does not mean freedom to insult others. However, we have seen the Danish Prime Minisiter  insisting on  allowing this attack on all Muslims under the gise of freedom of expression. Muslims cannot be expected to keep quiet when their religion is under assault by bigots. Muslims also hope that these insults are coming from a minority and are not supported by most Europeans. In the meantime, they must to pursue every peaceful method of protesting these insults.

Is the boycott still in effect or did this event slowly fade away?
