Sousse, Saturday, October 29, 2005 - Etoile Sportif du Sahel (ESS) plays Al-Ahly al-Misri in the first leg of the African League of Champions Finals! Al-Ahly has a 49-game winning streak on the line, as made plainly clear by its Portuguese coach Manuel Jose when he said: "Our culture is one of winning everwhere, and this is what we are going to do in Sousse. We have the best team in Africa."
Etoile on the other hand is not an easy push, beating Rajaa Baydhawi on both legs of the semi-finals (in Tunisia as well as in Morocco). Also, Etoile almost got this same crown when it lost last year's final by penalty kicks.
The two Etoile-Ahly matches promise to be thrillers.
