Tunisian Plane Crash Landed |

Aug. 6, 2005 - News Sources - A Tunisian plane headed to Tunisia from Sicily and carrying 50 passengers crash landed in the Mediterranean... Story is developing.
Follow up 1: The smaller plane (chartered flight) was headed to Djerba when it encountered technical difficulties forcing it to head to palermo for emegency landing. However, it did not make it to the airport and crash landed in the sea... Out of 39 passengers, about half have died. All passengers are Italians.
Follow up 2: The plane is an ATR-72 twin-propeller operated by Tuninter, en route from Bari to Djerba. At least 13 were confirmed dead and 3 are still missing. PageTunisie expresses condolences to the families of the victims.
