Tunisia finished the World Handball Championship at the No. 4 spot. However, it should have ranked at No. 3 or higher if you ask any fair-mainded follower of the games! This is particularly true when it comes to the game against France which Tunisia led for over 80% of the time... that is, until the referee decided to offer the game to France: nullifying a point by Wisma Hmam (presumably for walking), expelling Tej for two minutes and then expelling Wisma Hmam from the game... and finally when all did not work for this referee, he gave France a penalty shot just to finish the game with France one point ahead. What a shame!
The Danish referee may have been trying to avenge the loss of Danmark to Tunisia earlier in the tournament. But I think he went too far. This game makes it clear that some changes in the way games are arbitrated need to be introduced... changes such as instant replay from various angles and intervention of an arbitration team on the spot to correct false calls.
Bravo to Tunisia's national team for an outstanding perfomance.
