After two weeks of brutality inflicted on the civilian Palestinian population in Gaza, the UN Security Council approved a resolution calling for an immediate halt to the carnage... Fourteen out of fifteen council member voted for the resolution; the only abstaining member being the United States.  What a shame!  How can a beacon of freedom and human rights choose to stand out as the only member supporting the atrocities of the Israel regime against a people whose only crime is to seek its independence?  Muslims and Arabs have long learned their lesson... they can no longer put the US in the column of freedom loving nations.  It is going to be a while before these wounds heal.  Even if the governments in the region play dirty politics, the people in the region are not going to forget it.  When will the Bush nightmare be over?

Announcing Tunisian Community Network
The Tunisian Community Network (TCN) is a virtual grass-roots social network of Tunisian expatriates and any persons related to Tunisia. It aims to be the hub where relationships get established, where volunteer programs of community support get started, where integration issues in host countries get discussed, where second and subsequent generations build and maintain links to their Tunisian heritage, where network member businesses get promoted, and where cultural and economic bridges between Tunisia and other countries are created. Give it a spin!
