ImageDuring the first US presidential debate, Senator John F. Kerry did not have to do much to expose the failed presidency of George W. Bush. Facts are plentiful and the realities of domestic and international failures are hard to ignore. It is amazing that George W. Bush agreed to hold these debates when all he had to offer were one liners which he repeated over and over. What's more amazing is Senator Kerry's ability to keep his cool in the face of these one liners. All in all, I think America and the world are ready for a fresh start in the form of a new US president who can fix the havoc created by the Bush administration: a president who can stop the blood bath in Iraq and Afghanistan, who can keep America safe by setting the example in respect for human life, who will pay more attention to domestic problems and work on reducing the largest debt in US history which was created by the Bush administration. Just one month to go: Help is on the Way for the US and the world.

ImageTunis, 19 April 2004 (Tunisiaonline)

A new national census to be undertaken starting April 28, will allow Tunisia to update its statistics on the country’s population and households.

The last census took place in 1994. The Tunisian population was then 8.7 million. It is estimated today at about 10 million. Thanks to the country’s family planning program, Tunisia’s demographic growth rate has shot down to less than 1 percent.

More than 14,000 trained employees will take part in the collection and processing aspects of the 2004 census operation, scheduled from April 28 to May 25, 2004.

By virtue of a law adopted in 1999, the information collected will be confidential and could not be used for any other purposes but those of the census.

A John F. Kerry Quote

Image"This morning, as we sit down to read newspapers in the comfort of our homes or offices, we have an obligation to think of our fighting men and women in Iraq who awake each morning to a shooting gallery in which it is exceedingly difficult to distinguish friend from foe, and the death of every innocent creates more enemies. We owe it to our soldiers and Marines to use absolutely every tool we can muster to help them succeed in their mission without exposing them to unnecessary risk. That is not a partisan proposal. It is a matter of national honor and trust." John F. Kerry, Candidate for US Presidency, April 13, 2004.

Commentary: finally someone is noticing why the US "anti-terror policies" are in fact promoting terror.

US soldiers are dying every day in Iraq (and elsewhere). Iraqis are also dying in numbers orders of magnitude greater.  While this is happening, President Bush finds it funny to joke about the reason he used to send troops to Iraq. Read the following Chicago Tribune news story to find out more.
